Day 1: Rubavu District – Mountain Hiking & Lake Adventures
Begin your journey in Rubavu District with hikes on Muhungwe and Rubavu Mountains, offering panoramic views of Lake Kivu and the Congo Nile region. Later, enjoy a peaceful boat trip and join local fishermen in traditional evening fishing activities.
Day 2: Rutsiro to Karongi – Congo Nile Crater Trail & Cultural Discovery
Travel through Rutsiro District following the scenic Congo Nile Divide. Visit volcanic craters, enjoy tea and coffee plantation experiences, and spot rare bird species along the trail. Continue to Karongi for a relaxing afternoon by the lake before returning to Kigali or spending the night in Karongi.
